The Recovery & Education Centers (a division of the Wedge Medical Center) provide recovery-based services for individuals who experience psychiatric and co-occuring disorders. Wireless Philadelphia has provided us with laptops for our three day programs, which we are now using to train our program members in computer skills, as part of their rehabilitation & recovery processes. We are developing a "laptop lending library", where members can borrow a laptop for a project related to furthering their educational or occupational goals. We will also be awarding some of the laptops as "Recovery Awards" for individuals who progress significantly in their recovery. We would like to thank the staff of Wireless Philadelphia, along with the Department of Behavioral Health, for providing this unique opportunity for our program members. They will be entering the workforce or academic world fully prepared to utilize the newest technologies and internet resources.
